Poppa Joe spent almost his entire youth incarcerated searching for his place in life. After many ups and downs, Poppa Joe harnessed his passion to help the misguided youth by building a recording studio, where he and they could express themselves. His focus was on up and coming artists, from the streets of the Treasure Valley, and chose those whom desired to make music to find relief from life’s toils and snares. He formulated a pattern for success by founding a locally owned record label, Hustle Hard Full Time Records. His reasoning for the title, “the struggle to survive and make a change in this world never stops”. It was only after many disappointments Poppa Joe began to focus his energy into his own music. He started recording March of 2009. Poppa Joe’s first project, “I Am Legendary”, was strictly a promotional tool used to establish himself as an artist as well as an engineer. Six months later, the 29 track promo disc, “I Am Legendary” was released August 21st, 2009. Poppa Joe is currently in the studio working on a new project. Poppa Joe’s music is catchy, yet compelling, with a distinct message for personal growth and emotional maturity.
